The exhibition “L’architecte. Portraits et Clichés,” inaugurated on April 20, 2017, is open at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine until September 4, 2017.

Throughout centuries, architects have been considered the greatest artists of their time.  This exhibition presents a large collection of portraits and architectural images ranging from classical times to the end of the 20th century.

The goal of this exhibition is to uncover the secrets of this profession which evolves both with time and technological advances.  Throughout history, architects have occupied many different roles, and this evolution still goes on to this day.

For this exhibition, a large number of portraits and selfies, taken by architects themselves, have been gathered in order to show their work, aspirations, battles, joys, and goals nowadays.

AHA has joined this collective effort.  Our pictures can be seen on large screens at the exhibition’s entrance.

Our opinion: an intense exhibition, well documented and well built, to be visited until September 4, 2017!
