On March 24, 2017, in the city of Lyon, the Club des Clubs Immobiliers organized its 24th trip, the opportunity to discover the city’s big strategic projects.  Olivier and Anne-Caroline represented AHA!

We started by discovering the new eight-story high building “SILEX 1” (9 385 m2 of brand new offices).  This building, built in January 2017, is part of a large program aiming at regenerating the site previously owned by EDF and ENEDIS.  The “SILEX 2” operation will transform the old EDF tower into a highly connected building with 30 700 m2 of offices.

During the afternoon, we visited the Grand Hôtel-Dieu.  This former hospital, classified as historical monument (“Monument Historique”), is located in a district labeled World Heritage Site by Unesco and will welcome a great social mix: shops, offices, 5-star Hotel, convention center, housing, and the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie.

Last, we visited New Deal, CITROËN’s former garage which was the biggest filling station in the world during the 20th century. The building, also a Monument Historique, has been renovated into an office building, shops and a mangement school (Inseec).

A cocktail with a brass band at the Hôtel de Ville de Lyon put an end to this day full of events and discoveries.
