Our agency has been selected for the second round of the French competition “Inventons la Métropole du Grand Paris” for the site of the Maison du Peuple at Clichy-la-Garenne, a city neighboring Paris.
The Maison du Peuple was built in the 30’s by architects Eugène Beaudouin and Marcel Lods in collaboration with Jean Prouvé and engineer Vladimir Bodiansky. This building was seen as a “mechanical jewel,” and was classified as a historical monument (“Monument Historique”) in 1983.
For the Métropole du Grand Paris “its renovation will have to be worthy of its innovative inital design, and highlight its ability to mix uses and social classes, through a signal building”.
To take up this challenge, AHA works with a multidisciplinary team whose representative and real estate company is LINKCITY Ile-de-France.
